“I am nominating Shyleena for the STEM Rising Star because of her tenacious spirit, resilience, and dedication to her craft. She is passionate about pursuing a career in carpentry and has excelled in her Woods classes at the high school. She has showcased tremendous drive by attending college courses via Running Start. Shyleena is determined to begin an apprenticeship after high school and work in her dream career of carpentry.
